Hey friend,
This morning, as the sun rose and the world quietly tilted toward celebration, I found myself standing still, overwhelmed by one phrase echoing through my heart:
“He conquered the Grave.”
This is not just a line from a hymn, or a story we rehearse once a year in pastel colors and soft songs. It is a declaration that shook the foundations of hell, a truth that split time in two, and a victory that changed everything.
Jesus didn’t just die; He rose. And that singular act is the cornerstone of our becoming.
Because He conquered the grave, you and I are no longer held hostage by what felt like the end. Shame, sin, sorrow, depression, and hopelessness may have tried to write our ending, but resurrection has the final say. The tomb was supposed to be the end, but with God, even tombs become wombs. New life is born where death once reigned.
I’ve walked through a few “grave” seasons. Seasons where dreams were wrapped in linen and laid to rest. Where my faith felt like it was gasping for air. Where I wondered, "God, can anything good come out of this place?"
Maybe you’ve been there, too.
Maybe you’re there now, standing before something in your life that feels lifeless. A relationship, a calling, a version of you that once burned with purpose and clarity. Perhaps you've been waiting so long that it feels like the waiting room has become a tomb of its own.
But here’s the miracle of Easter:
The grave never had the power to hold Him. And because of that, it won’t hold you either.
This is resurrection life.
It means:
What died in disappointment can live again in purpose.
What you buried in silence can rise in power.
What felt like the end is actually the beginning of a testimony.
What looked like failure was only fertilizer for what’s next.
He conquered the grave so that you can walk in authority. You don’t just survive, you rise. You rise with hope. You rise with fire. You rise with the same power that raised Christ from the dead now dwelling in you (Romans 8:11).
So today, I invite you to take inventory of the “graves” in your life. Not to mourn them, but to prophesy to them. Speak to them like Jesus did to Lazarus:
“Come forth.”
It’s not over.
What looked buried is rising, your becoming is alive in Him.
Happy Easter, my friend. May you rise in joy, peace, power, and full confidence that the grave has already been defeated.
With resurrection hope,
Perpetua
